The best beaches in Jamaica

Jamaica is a famous beach destination and no matter in which direction your taste lies, you’ll find a beach that is perfect for your taste. Also, if spending time on the beaches is high on your agenda, you can consider setting base in Jamaica rentals comprising private villas, cottages and apartments that encompass their own stretch of private beach.

Some of the best beaches are to be found in Negril. The most notable pristine white sandy beach is the Seven Miles Beach that has consistently been voted as the best amongst the world. Seven Miles Beach is pretty lively and usually throngs with crowds and vendors selling local delights and souvenirs. There is partying at night and sometimes even reggae concerts. Those interested in craggy cliffs and vast stretches of solitude will find solace in Crane Beach on Black River.

Port Antonio is another favourite beach destination with Frenchman’s Cove, Boston Beach and Blue Lagoon Beach. In fact you can also enjoy surfing in the beaches of Negril and Port Antonio. The experienced surfers can try out the strong undercurrents of Treasure Beach in Ocho Rios.

There are many beaches that are safe for the kids including the Aqua Sol Beach in Montego Bay, San San Beach and Blue Lagoon Beach, in Port Antonio, and Dunn’s River Beach, located in Ocho Rios, fairly close to the famous waterfalls.

As said above there are several Jamaica rentals that have their stretch of private beach, for example, Silver Sands Jamaica where you have the beach right at your door step. In fact you can enjoy the views of the Caribbean from your Jamaica rentals.

Jamaica is a lovely island nation with approximately 200 miles of beaches. There are beaches to suit most every taste, ranging from family beaches to nude sun bathing beaches, from peaceful and natural surroundings to the pristine white sands and full services of the resorts, from beaches perfect for active water sports beaches to known for their active social scene. Thanks...
