Coyaba Gardens and Museum in Ocho Rios

If you are planning a visit to Jamaica, you can consider setting base in Jamaica accommodation that provides you easy access to Ocho Rios and other attractions on the island.

Though Ocho Rios is generally known for the Dunn’s River Falls, it has more gems to offer, one of which is the Coyaba Gardens

Coyaba Gardens are a haven of tranquillity in the busy heart of Ocho Rios. You’ll come across shaded walkways, beautiful trees and colourful flowers as also a river meandering through the gardens forming many scintillating waterfalls on the way. You can also see the natural aquarium filled with turtles and fish.

Ocho Rios also houses the spectacular but less touristy Mahoe Falls. You can splash about at the pool at the base or climb up the slippery rocks.

Also take time out to browse through the small museum, which brings to life the ancient culture of the Taino Indians who were the first inhabitants of Jamaica. From Ysassis Point, you can admire the fabulous views of Ocho Rios complete with rolling hills and the river right down to the Caribbean Sea.

To explore Ocho Rios and the other attractions on the island, you can set base in Silver Sands Jamaica which is at an easy distance from the best of what the island has to offer.

Ocho Rios is a popular tourist destination for Jamaica due to its close proximity to many of the island’s natural highlights. Coyaba River Gardens is a stunning park where visitors can get the knowledge of Jamaica’s agricultural history and the origins of the plants and trees in this area. Thanks a lot.
